But what she loves even more? This community of readers.

We live in the Future of my adolescent dreams where we read and write on electronic paper and a storyteller with a portable device can directly reach their readers. As the internet and technology evolved, I tried to make this dream happen in a million different ways. In 2004, I was sending out drafts of my novel to friends via hotmail, horrified that someone would steal the ideas. In 2008, I thought Kindle was the way to go, and I do still publish there, but it lacked the heart, the intimacy of patronage.

Somehow, being on this platform feels like arriving in an independent writer’s paradise. Everything here is so familiar… because I dreamed it up almost 30 years ago. I dreamed it, and it became real.

Dreams DO come true–this community is proof.
